Retreat Site Needed
Carla Brennan is looking for the "ideal" location to hold nature-based meditation retreats. Perhaps you know of a place or have a suggestion. Or use the contact page on this website. • Beautiful natural, safe setting • Within reasonable driving distance of Bay Area - 4-5 hours. • Near body of water of some form - lake, river, ocean. • Drinking water available • Group camping area that is away from other people, traffic, etc. • Cost : inexpensive • Enough land so that retreatants can do isolated solo retreats • It may or may not include other facilities such as bathrooms, etc.
Housing Needed
VERY RELIABLE TEACHER/MEDITATOR needs home!!!
One female teacher of Special Education, ESL, English and theatre needs a
place to live by August 1st. A deposit to hold a place might be
possible. I am hoping for a cabin, cottage or separate unit of some
kind. I have been living in Brookdale for 4 years and have LOVED living
on the river, I am a water person/swimmer...IF water/pool is nearby,
that would be a plus! I am a non-drinker, no drugs and quiet yet
friendly. I have been taking care of an acre property for 4 years and
would love to find my "Shangri-la" with trees, sun and greenery again
:o) I am a vegetarian and a meditator. I have some beautiful indoor and
outdoor furniture which i shipped back with me after living and teaching
in Asia for 17 years. I would prefer a separate residence that i could
furnish to some degree. Some storage would be most welcome along with
closets and possible use of washer/dryer. I would REALLLLLLLLLLY like to pay LESS than $1000 month including
utilities but would consider anything and any reasonable price for the
right "fit".
I only have one smallish vehicle. I have an 11 year-old champion and
"search and rescue" mid-sized Border Collie and an outdoor "Border
Kitty". They are both independent and DO NOT interact or react to other
pets. They are non-aggressive and just not interested in being dominant
or afraid! :o)! the B. collie does 36 commands and knows 180 words, the
kitty is a little less accomplished but is an excellent rodent killer
and tree jumper! They do not chew, dig or scratch and only do their
business outdoors which I clean up regularly.They are laid-back and very
loving. They both come highly recommended and adored by others. A
deposit is possible. The dog is NEVER allowed in the house without
having her paws and body wiped down first. We keep a "shoe-less" house
to protect the floors. I am extremely clean and tidy and keep them
brushed and flea/tick-free.
We're (the 3 of us) a T.L.U. (tight little unit) but enjoy interacting
with other people and animals and forming non-violent communicative
relationships.

& SUNNY SPACE WANTED
to park and part time live-in my new shorty school bus. Approx. 17' - Very Clean, is a
runner. Water, bathroom access necessary. Power helpful, but not absolutely
necessary. This is my new home after foreclosure experience. Will be traveling a bit in it. Also have a vehicle for local
transportation that needs safe parking while I'm traveling in the bus. I am a
quiet, considerate, responsible female, self employed with 20 years of
excellent local references. Will consider most anywhere in the county - prefer
quiet, respectful, community orientated environment, not too remote. I am a landscape gardener by
profession, with multiple other talents I am willing to share in trade and/or
